Monumental Trees

An excellent option for hikking in Mexico to discover the amazing “monumental trees”. Beside the timber town of Noh-Bec, there is the Forest Reserve of “El Huasteco”, where you will discover a pedestrian path of around 2.2 miles and enjoy the biodiversity that the woods offer. A local guide will show us the spectacular trees -mahogany, oak, kapok trees- over 98-feet tall, that are considered natural monuments and that, for the ancient Mayans, were a symbol of strength and vitality. After the walk, we will climb a wooden tower, around 82-feet tall, to enjoy the view of the treetops and the rich avifauna in the reserve.
